Documentation Check List

Prior to proceeding with your New Zealand registration we require:

New Zealand Registered Locums

  • Current Curriculum Vitae with copies of primary and postgraduate medical qualifications and English translations if in a foreign language

  • Three verbal referees and full contact details

  • Three written references

  • Copy of current Medical Registration Certificate / current License Verification

  • Copy of Current Annual Practicing Certificate

  • Evidence of current Professional Indemnity Insurance

  • Copy of Passport with photo page

  • Copy of Letter of Good Standing if already acquired or complete the following MCNZ Application www.mcnz.org.nz/about/forms/cgs.pdf 

  • Current New Zealand Drivers Licence or equivalent

Overseas Based Locums

  • Current Curriculum Vitae with copies of primary and postgraduate medical qualifications

  • Three verbal referees and full contact details

  • Three written references

  • Copy of current Medical Registration Certificate / current License Verification

  • Copy of Current Annual Practicing Certificate

  • Current Professional Indemnity Insurance

  • Copy of Passport with photo page

  • Copy of current Drivers Licence

  • Advice on New Zealand Arrival & Departure Dates

  • Copy of NZ Work Visa if already acquired

  • An English translation of any documents if they are issued in a language other than English (the translation must be by an authorised translation service or professional translation).

  • Please not you must apply for your New Zealand Work Visa PRIOR to arriving in New Zealand
